The right ink for your printer is as important and vital as the right blood group for a person who has lost enough blood in some accident. Regular use of the printer leads to exhaustion of the printer ink. As time passes the print outs begin to fade or splotchy. This makes the regular replacement of printer ink a necessity. The first thing that one has to do is check the model and type of printer. The model of cartridge and the content there in that is the printer ink varies from model to model and from type to type. Basically there are two types of printers one is black and white while the other is the colored. On the basis of technology the printers can be dot matrix, ink jet or laser. The model depends on the manufacturing company. For the model number you will have to examine the printer manual. There are many different types of printer ink available in the market. It is not that one type of inks suits all the types of printers. So, one has to choose the printer ink that suits his/her printer. Make sure that you check the compatibility before opening the package because once it is opened it can neither be replaced nor exchanged for another product. As mentioned earlier some printers just print in black and white while other print in color. In case of color printers it is obvious that all color ink is not used equally and simultaneously. Purchase the colour ink which serves your purpose the maximum. With reference to the manufacturing side , the printer ink is of two types, one with the brand name and the other is the generic version. The difference between the two lies in the quality and price. Make hay till the sun shines .Similarly stock the printer ink till it is available. Make sure you stick to the directions prior to installation of the printer ink cartridges. Closely examination of the placement of the old cartridge prior to its removal can prove to be of great help. This helps the replacement. Avoid shaking the printer ink cartridges because this can cause splattering of the ink. From a different perspective the printer inks can be segregated into original equipment manufacturer (OEM) printer ink and remanufactured printer ink. The OEM printer ink works only on particular printer model. It gives quality print and this makes it expensive. Remanufactured printer ink is cheaper but unreliable. On the other hand OEM printer ink is expensive but good at quality.
