Save the Love in Your Relationship

By: Roland Thromes

Real love is something that most teenagers thought they invented. The fact is real love is something that happens once the infatuation simmers down. Suddenly, love seems to happen in time.

Falling in love could happen anytime, like waking up in the morning and you realize that you must have that uniquely exciting person in your life. It's a extraordinary feeling and hopefully the other person feels the same way. True love can develop over time for the both of you if the love between is nurtured.

Love must be cherished and maintained if couples want it to last. Love can die a slow painful death if over time couples start taking each other for granted. Love is a state of mind that must be worked on everyday by each person in the relationship.

Nothing is more fun than receiving a surprise gift from your partner. It doesn't have to be for a special occasion, nor does it have to be expensive. It's a wonderful feeling to know that your significant other was thinking of you and bought a gift especially for you.

You to need to get spontaneous by breaking old routines once in a while. Be whimsical and do something that the two of you used to do but let get away from you. Try the summer walks up to the Dairy Queen. Maybe it was the concert in the parks the two of you haven't done for quite awhile or jump in the car and drive out to the old mill stream.

Stay interested what your partner is saying and doing. Too many couples grow apart because they lose interest in what their partners are thinking and doing. It takes some work at times but it's really necessary.

Keep it physical with the two of you because everyone loves to be touched and held. Feeling cherished by your love is one of the most special feelings anyone can ever experience. Do you have any idea what some single people would give just for someone to rub their shoulders? A lot.

Getting spontaneous with your partner and doing whimsical things together is a good thing. If your partner does not feel like it now, then do it later. Just don't give up on this because it's important. Think 'magic moments!
